She also uses her incite as a yoga instructor, Ayurvedic lifestyle consultant and mediator to help her clients. She is a member of the International Institute for Complimentary Therpies (IICT).
Laura’s interest in the body and healing began in 2001 in the USA where she worked as an aerobics instructor and personal trainer. She then pursued studies in conflict resolution and mediation Tel Aviv University (2005) in Israel. She combined her innate abilities to communicate, along with her passion for soothing the body, mind and soul. She lived in Israel for almost a decade, facilitating (in Hebrew and some Arabic) between Jewish and Arab youth in group settings. In contrast to the pain and chaos that she felt in this conflict zone, she found joy, freedom and peace when yoga and massage entered her life at this time. Yoga and massage allowed her to return to the true nature of the heart: love. She began offering the teachings of yoga with her students. She completed her yoga teaching certification in Palampur, India at Ayur-Yoga Eco Ashram in 2012. Laura’s massage studies have also been international: from Chiang Mai, Thailand to Kerala, India and to Sydney (NSW school of Massage) and Byron (Ayurveda College) to name a few. Laura has provided massage in Amma ashram in India, at Beachside Yoga and Massage in Byron and at Heartspace in Mullumbimby, along with private returning clients throughout the Byron Shire. A warm touch is essential for health and well-being, as it stimulates the production of oxytocin, thus in turn reducing blood pressure and cortisol levels.
