Michelle is a Clinical Hypnotherapist, Reiki Master/Teacher/Practitioner & Metaphysician.

Michelle’s career began, initially, with working in the corporate sector in Sydney for nearly twenty years.  During this time, she had always remained interested in and practised the path of self-healing through meditation and positive self-talk.  This was reinforced  through her own experience of having a very ill mother who she had to care for.  She realised how important it is to be involved in our own healing process emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually.    Realising more and more that the corporate world was not her heart or life’s purpose, she studied various therapies and other alternative healing methods. Having experienced a healing herself through Reiki, Michelle fell in love with Reiki and the wisdom teachings of metaphysics, which have been her way of life ever since for over 20 years.  She then became a Reiki Master/Teacher in 2002 (Member of the Australian Reiki Connection), and has been teaching Reiki and holding seminars ever since (here in Australia and with her husband in Europe).

For the past 20+ years of her life, Michelle has dedicated herself, here and in Europe, to helping people attain personal growth, self-empowerment and higher levels of consciousness. Her understanding of metaphysics through her own extensive case history, offers holistic insight of profound clarity and simplicity to seemingly complicated issues.

Her passion to encourage self-awareness in others is what led her to then study hypnotherapy (diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy), which she has been practicing since 2011.  Michelle is a Professional Member of the Australian Hypnotherapists’ Association and is listed on the National Hypnotherapists’ Register of Australia.  She also practices in Murwillumbah and Stokers Siding.

Michelle’s style of practice is compassionate, gentle, empowering and dynamic.

Hypnotherapy is safe and drug-free.  It is also a powerful way to discover the answers within.  We all have the ability to change and to make empowering and responsible choices for ourselves.  All it takes is the willingness to do so.

We ‘hypnotise’ ourselves daily with false beliefs or disempowering suggestions, such as “I can’t be successful”, “I don’t have time”, “I’m not good enough”, “I’m so fat & ugly”, “Nobody cares”, “ I’m not deserving”, “poor me”, and so on.  Our thoughts are energy and they have power. To make powerful changes in our life we must be conscious and aware of our thoughts and most especially, our ‘self-talk’.

Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis is not a state of deep sleep.  It’s a state of natural, deep relaxation which has been likened to ‘day dreaming’ or a ‘timeless feeling’, like the space we experience just before falling asleep or waking up.

In hypnosis, whilst you are deeply relaxed, your awareness is also heightened, and you are in control the whole time.  The sub-conscious mind (the non-analytical right-hand side of our brain) allows the conscious mind (the logical & analytical left-hand side of the brain) and the physical body to fully relax and release unwelcomed beliefs, habits, blockages and thought processes.

You are, therefore, able to create new, positive and empowering thought patterns which can be life changing for you.  When you are truly relaxed, your imagination, creativity and self-awareness are heightened, and you are more receptive to making those positive life changes that you’ve always dreamed of.

Hypnotherapy helps with:  increasing our spiritual self-awareness, increasing fertility, boosting self-esteem & confidence, reducing & managing stress and anxiety, insomnia, stop smoking, weight loss, fears & phobias, public speaking…The possibilities are endless!

An initial hypnotherapy session takes approximately 2 hours (including the client intake information), and follow-up sessions normally take 1-1.5 hours.   People often ask ‘how many sessions will I need?’.  Allow one to three sessions in order to achieve your desired outcome.  Some clients like to come back every couple of months or so to sustain the changes they have made.

Reiki translates as Universal Life Force Energy.  It is a natural form of healing and is applied through non-invasive gentle touch.  Reiki helps to increase and rebalance your energy flow by releasing blockages and promoting wellbeing on every level (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual).  A Reiki treatment is a wonderful way to also relax and calm the nervous system which helps to boost our immune system, nourish and replenish your whole Being.  It can also enhance:

  • Deep relaxation and better sleep.
  • Relief from stress & physical symptoms.Calming the mind and reminds us of our natural equanimity.
  • A stronger sense of Self, leading to greater confidence and creativity.
  • Self-Love, Self-Respect and Self-Worth, leading to a more compassionate and caring attitude towards others and ourselves.
  • Clarity & awareness, leading to greater purpose and direction.
Reiki and Hypnotherapy are both complementary and can be used in addition to other modalities and practices.
